Have your attention? Okay, not one 2012 candidate is a conservative. Republicans forgot the meaning of not just the word “CONSERVATIVE”, but the meaning of Republican. Why is no Republican candidate willing or able to conduct a conservative campaign, top to bottom. Herman Cain‘s brief run abruptly ended as the “LEFT” opened their assault on has past transgressions. Yet their action begs us to question…Why? The establishment, of both sides, is frightened of the proposition of a black vs black Presidential campaign. Herman’s campaign proved, emphasized, and highlighted the American Dream is possible for any American regardless of skin color or political philosophy. Herman represented the antithesis of democratic mantra and certainly did not purport the entitlement degradation of our government.
Rick Santorum is a “social” conservative, Romney flip-flops from social to fiscal conservatism as it suits his political ambitions, Newt is fiscally conservative and partially social, and Ron Paul, while not a Republican (he is Libertarian) is considered fiscally conservative, but socially liberal. Paul actually is more socially conservative than what people realize. He is a true social conservative from a constitutional perspective. The constitution does not address who can marry whom, provide any avenue for entitlements, regulation, and on and on.
Why is Mr. Paul then admonished by Republicans and Democrats? Simple…he is the anti-thesis of “the establishment”. All of the issues Sen Paul represents are matters determined, owned, and addresses by the State” government…not Federal government.
The Tea Party fills the void between Libertarians and Republicans. It represents what Republicans long forgot: Conservatism.
