Why has society changed to wishing people Happy Holidays and not Merry Christmas? Don’t want to offend anyone of any religion or culture? Ever catch yourself hesitate saying Merry Christmas?
Avoidance or hesitation to willingly celebrate Christmas or acknowledge it, seems to be growing and it shouldn’t.
Don’t tell me because it includes the New Year’s holiday because if it did you would say it on new year’s eve and not Happy New Year. Reality, you attempt to be politically correctly correct rather than acknowledge your true belief.
Recently, the Climate Summit in Copenhagen barred Christmas trees in Denmark’s Bella Center. Never mind the fact Denmark has done it since the 1600’s. Worldwide disapproval of Christmas in favor of PC “Happy Holidays” is embraced at the White House too.
This year Obama considered celebrating a “nonreligious” Christmas. It was going to exclude all religious symbols like the manger scene. This would again leave the majority caving in to the minority, again.
As a Christians, we observe Christmas to celebrate the birth of Christ. I always wish others “Merry Christmas.” It appears you and I are constantly discouraged from saying it by media, print, commercials, Christmas Cards, decorations and the like.
Christmas is the most important holiday. It signifies Christianity’s importance to our nation’s history and its influence on our founding fathers. To restrain Christmas in any form is another liberal attempt to minimize its origin and importance in our laws and government. .
You must send the message that your position is not up for negotiation. You and your family need to extend “Merry Christmas” to everyone and display your recognition of why we celebrate Christmas to anyone saying Happy Holidays and remind them NEVER hesitate wishing others “Merry Christmas”!
