What can you do? Begin taking action!
“As there is a certain degree of depravity in mankind which requires a certain degree of circumspection and distrust; so there are qualities in human nature, which justify a certain portion of esteem and confidence. Republican government presupposes the existence of these qualities in a higher degree than any other form.” –Federalist 55
First, ask yourself some questions:
- Do you identify more with “state” or “federal” government?
- Does your state know your needs better than federal government?
- Is $17 Trillion in debt good or bad?
- Do you accept politician lies…or believe what they say?
- Are you honestly prepared to accept “eventuality” or “tolerance” or “interest-group liberalism” by the elitist so-called intellectual class?
- Do you believe in socialism? Name a successful socialist system of government in history? Is something for nothing a good thing?
- Do you understand the socialist programs and enormous growth of government catapulted the national debt into the realm of bankruptcy?
American Bankruptcy: Morally, Politically, and Financially
The liberal welfare – entitlement state of government, is demonic and far too many Americans depend on it. Republicans have been complicit, compromised, and failed to defend the Constitution.
YOU must stand up and see, neigh comprehend the vile nature of liberal welfare; the treacherous elitism which entrenched itself in American politics. YOU must see it in its true form and not in the “tolerance” form perpetuated by liberals.
Capture your energy and enthusiasm for protecting the United States Constitution by probing the web for the nearest Tea Party in your area. Several websites noted in the reference section of the book are a great starting point. If one exists in your area…JUMP IN! Make them aware of your personal skill sets and if you do not believe you have any; volunteer and perhaps you will discover unknown talents.
Sometimes it helps hearing the path others took towards raising their voice. I will encapsulate a series of events lifting the SW Michigan Tea Party Patriots through an enviable road of success. Albeit much due to one person, then a second and a third…jumping in to make a difference and commence altering the political landscape of Michigan.
After the aforementioned rant of Rick Santelli on CNBC, Gene made a cognitive decision to get off his duff and make a difference. He “googled” the net for like-minded people in his area and stumbled upon the Tea Party Patriots website; searched Michigan; and found none. Not to be disheartened, he posted his name and others began reaching out to him. After exchange of several emails, the people decided to meet and begin brainstorming. A core group formed; talents identified; dreams dreamed; goals identified; needs identified…and so the inaugural group effort began.
They determined growing membership with a rally on the courthouse steps would enable them to sound the alarm and heighten visibility of the group. They issued a press release to local radio stations and the newspaper. Shocked and excited by the turnout of over 1000 people, they began taking names and contact info; talking to people of their concerns, talents, and availability; and learning the aspects others sought in the group. The demand was so intense, lines of people remained after conclusion of the event to register and participate. Realizing the success and inherent need to capture momentum from the rally, they quickly initiated a website and communicated the next meeting.
The group began formal organization activities including design of a Mission Statement and core principles. It was determined if they were serious about the effort, required preparations included office space, phones, and computers. This idea turned the corner and enabled a central point to organize the group. SWMTPP is now the umbrella parent for twelve chapters.
Paramount to the philosophy of the group is maintaining separation from the GOP. However, as many Tea Party members were Republicans, it provided structure for members to push the agenda and make their voice heard. This voice resounds in the State Capitol building, local offices, and every Republican County group.
How? Tea Party members successfully ran for Republican Precinct Delegate roles; attend GOP meetings; sit on the Executive Boards; and participate in the state conventions reiterating our values. Change has begun; however, at a snail’s pace, as many “establishment” types continue with “lip service” rather than action.
The alluded bottom line is Republicans, like our nation, are at a crossroads. Either the GOP establishment with entitlement mentality can shape up fast…or get booted in 2012. The number of gross failures and broken promises, position them as accessories to crimes against the Constitution. Furthermore, their contributions have imperiled our fiscal status and at the time of this writing, continue dragging feet as the water under the bridge. Further blunt honesty propels Republicans into the dung heap by 2016. Either they join in earnest; act in earnest; stop lip service; and have the balls to make the tough decisions or get of the way.
Principles important to the “The Tea Party Patriots”
- You can’t multiply wealth by dividing it.
- You can’t legislate the poor into prosperity; devoid of legislating the wealthy out.
- Government cannot give anything, without it taking from someone else.
- To provide a person something who does not work, another person must work to provide it.
- The family is sacred.
- I believe in God and his hand in the U.S. Constitution
- I have a right to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness and not a guarantee of equal results.
- I work hard for what I have; will share it with whom I choose
- The government should never force or tell me who to be charitable.
- The Government works for me. I do not work for the government!
Four National Tea Party groups comprise the majority of patriots. The largest two have additional info noted below. The four groups are: Tea Party Patriots; Tea Party.Org; Tea Party Nation; and Tea Party.Net.
TEA PARTY PATRIOTS
The Tea Party movement spontaneously formed in 2009 from the reaction of the American people to fiscally irresponsible actions of the federal government, misguided “stimulus” spending, bailouts and takeovers of private industry. Within the first few weeks of the movement, Tea Party Patriots formed to support the millions of Americans seeking to improve our great nation through renewed support for fiscal responsibility, constitutionally limited government, and free market economic policies.
Tea Party Patriots is a national grassroots organization that exists to serve and support the thousands of local organizations and millions of grassroots Patriots throughout our nation. We provide logistical, educational, networking and other support to thousands of community-based tea party groups around the country. Tea Party Patriots state and national coordinators serve your local grassroots groups, support you with the tools and technology you need to address your local issues, listen to your voices, gather your ideas, and together help shape the overall direction of our national movement. Working in a truly grassroots fashion, we have already changed the political landscape of America.
The Tea Party is 100% grassroots, 100% of the time. It is made up of, and funded by, millions of regular Americans just like you, who believe there is a better way forward for America.
The Tea Party includes those who possess a strong belief in the foundational Judeo-Christian values embedded in our great founding documents. We believe the responsibility of our beloved nation is etched upon the hearts of true American Patriots from every race, religion, national origin, and walk of life sharing a common belief in the values which made and keep our beloved nation great. This belief led to the creation of the modern-day Tea Party.
Many Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, and Independents identify with the premises set forth by the Tea Party Movement, which is striking a chord and ringing true with the American Spirit.
We stand by the Constitution as inherently conservative. We serve as a beacon to the masses that have lost their way, a light illuminating the path to the original intentions of our Founding Fathers. We must raise a choir of voices declaring America must stand on the values which made us great. Only then will the politically blind see and deaf hear!
By joining the Tea Party, you are taking a stand for our nation. You will be upholding the grand principles set forth in the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights.

The next step is to seek and win office as a precinct delegate. The person responsible for this strategy is Rick Herron of Hamilton County, Ohio. Republicans recognized the success of this plan and invited Rick as a speaker in 1988.
“The Precinct Strategy is the only peaceful and constitutional way to take back our nation. It’s been around for almost 200 years – but it’s been “flat-lined” for many years, and it is now time to move this silent majority GIANT into action to locate and elect individuals into the office of “Precinct Executive”… individuals that will adhere to the constitutional principles of limited government, free markets, and individual freedoms.” – Rick Herron
“If we want to change the people that make policy, it is our responsibility to ensure that our friends have a majority on the Party’s Central Committee, so that: Our friends are elected to the Executive Committee; our friends win the primary; our friends can get on the ballot in the November General Election; our friends win and change policy. If we want to change policy it’s our responsibility to be elected members of our Party’s Central Committee.”– Rick Herron
